Welcome to the Papercare Working Papers help section. Papercare’s Working Papers allows you to add new clients efficiently using the Companies House API. This feature simplifies the process by automatically fetching and populating client details, ensuring accuracy and saving you time.
How to Add a Client Using Companies House API
Step 1: Navigating to Add New Client
To add a new client using the Companies House API, navigate to the Add New Client option from the Admin tab and then select My Clients. This is where you can begin the process of adding a new client.
Step 2: Selecting the Type of Client
Select the type of client from the options available. Ensure you choose either Limited Company or LLP, as these are compatible with the Companies House API.
Step 3: Entering the Registration Number
Enter the client’s registration number as recorded with Companies House. Once entered, click on the small cloud button in blue. This will initiate the process of fetching the necessary details from Companies House.
Step 4: Fetching Client Details
The system will automatically retrieve all relevant details from Companies House. This includes information such as the client’s name, registered address, and other pertinent details.
Step 5: Reviewing and Saving Information
Carefully review the information that has been downloaded to ensure its accuracy. Once you have verified all the details, click on Next to navigate to the last page of the form.
Step 6: Finishing the Process
On the final page, click on the Finish button to save the client. The client’s information will now be stored in your system, ready for use.
